WORLD CANCER DAY
On the occasion of World Cancer Day Students
of Dr. Hedgewar College of Nursing,
Aurangabad organized a skit on the theme
“Close the Care Gap” followed by theme inauguration.
The programme was organized by 1st Year B. BSc Nursing II semester
students, one student gave introduction about “World Cancer Day” followed by
unfolding the theme “Close The Care Gap”
by the hands of Principal Prof. Shreenath Kulkarni and Senior Faculty Members.
Principal sir also guided students about Significance of Celebrating
World Cancer Day, how to create awareness about prevention of Cancer and its
detection and treatment.
After Theme inauguration students performed skit in OPD of Dr. Hedgewar
Hospital Aurangabad. Students gave information with the help of Posters about
‘Cancer- its causes, risk factors, pathophysiology, diagnostic investigations,
management, and the precautions to be taken at home. About 60-70 patients and
their relatives got information through informative skit performed by the
students.
The students also performed Cancer
awareness skit in PHC of Jawahar Colony,
and interacted with community people about prevention of cancer & its
treatment & precautions. The programme concluded with vote of thanks.
